Daktarin Cream 15g contains miconazole nitrate 2%, an antifungal medication used to treat a variety of fungal and yeast infections of the skin. It also has activity against some bacteria that may be present in infected skin areas.

Fungal infections between fingers and toes
Fungal skin infections associated with itching, redness, and scaling
Miconazole works by:
Damaging the fungal cell membrane
Preventing fungal growth and reproduction
Helping eliminate the infection
Providing activity against certain bacteria that can complicate skin infections
Wash and dry the affected area thoroughly.
Apply a thin layer of cream to the affected area and surrounding skin.
Gently rub in until absorbed.
Twice daily (morning and evening), or as directed by a healthcare professional.
Athlete's foot: 2–6 weeks
Ringworm: 2–4 weeks
Jock itch: 2–4 weeks
Candidiasis: usually 2–4 weeks
Continue treatment for at least a few days after symptoms disappear to help prevent recurrence.
When applied to the skin, interactions are uncommon. However, prolonged or extensive use may theoretically increase the effect of blood-thinning medications such as Warfarin. Patients using warfarin should consult a healthcare professional before use.
