Composition

Main herbal ingredients include:

  • Honey (Madhu)
  • Holy Basil / Tulsi (Ocimum sanctum)
  • Licorice / Yashtimadhu (Glycyrrhiza glabra)
  • Vasaka (Adhatoda vasica)
  • Guduchi (Tinospora cordifolia)
  • Guggulu (Commiphora wightii)
  • Draksha (Vitis vinifera)
  • Cinnamon (Cinnamomum cassia)
  • Nutmeg (Myristica fragrans)
  • Ammonium chloride (small amount)

It is an Ayurvedic herbal cough preparation.


 

Uses / Indications

Used for:

  • Dry cough
  • Productive cough (with mucus)
  • Sore throat
  • Smoker’s cough
  • Cough associated with upper and lower respiratory tract infections
  • Cough related to COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease)

It works as:

  • Expectorant (helps remove mucus)
  • Antitussive (reduces cough)
  • Soothing throat reliever

Direction of Use / Dosage

Typical dosage:

  • Adults: 1–2 teaspoonfuls, 3–4 times daily
  • Children: ½–1 teaspoonful, 3 times daily
  • Use according to doctor/pharmacist advice.
