Use / Indications

Used for:

How It Works

Sildenafil increases blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation, helping a man achieve and maintain an erection.

Dosage

• Typical starting dose: 50 mg taken as needed.
• Usually taken 30–60 minutes before sexual activity.
• Do not take more than one dose in 24 hours.
• Can be taken directly from the sachet without water.

Common Side Effects

• Headache
• Flushing (redness of the face)
• Dizziness
• Nasal congestion
• Indigestion
• Blurred vision or colour vision changes

Warnings

• Not for use by women or children.
• Do not use with nitrate medications (e.g., nitroglycerin) due to the risk of a dangerous drop in blood pressure.
• Use with caution in patients with heart disease, severe liver disease, or low blood pressure.
• Seek urgent medical attention for an erection lasting more than 4 hours (priapism).
