How It Works
Lactulose draws water into the bowel, softening stools and making them easier to pass. It also helps reduce ammonia absorption in patients with liver disease.
Typical Dosage
Adults (Constipation):
- Usually 15–30 mL daily initially, adjusted according to response.
Children:
- Dose depends on age and should follow a healthcare professional's recommendation.

Warnings
