Composition

• Paracetamol 500 mg

 The main active ingredient is paracetamol only.

Uses / Indications

Used for fast relief of mild to moderate pain and fever, including:

• Headache (including migraine/tension headache)
• Toothache
• Period pain
• Muscle and back pain
• Sore throat
• Cold and flu symptoms (fever, aches, pains)

Direction of Use

• Adults and children 16 years and above:
• 2 tablets every 4–6 hours as needed
• Maximum 8 tablets in 24 hours
• Should not be taken more frequently than every 4 hours
• Short-term use only
• Swallow with water (for faster action, often recommended on empty stomach)

Side Effects

Generally well tolerated, but possible:

• Nausea
• Skin rash (rare allergy)
• Liver damage in overdose (most serious risk)
• Very rare severe skin reactions

Warnings / Precautions

• Do NOT take with other paracetamol-containing medicines (risk of overdose)
• Avoid alcohol (increases liver damage risk)
• Use carefully in:
• Liver disease
• Kidney disease
• Regular alcohol users
• Underweight or malnourished patients
• Overdose can cause serious liver toxicity even if you initially feel fine

Drug Interactions

• Other paracetamol medicines (cold/flu combos)
• Alcohol
• Certain antibiotics (e.g. flucloxacillin—rare metabolic risk)
• Medicines affecting liver metabolism

Contraindications / Caution

Avoid if:

• Allergy to paracetamol
• Severe liver disease
