Arrhythmias, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, fatigue, hypotension, rebound hypertension

Warning/Caution

PREGNANCY

Avoid (toxicity in animal studies).

BREAST FEEDING

Avoid (present in milk in animal studies).

HEPATIC IMAPIRMENT

Manufacturer advises avoid in significant impairment.

RENAL IMPAIRMENT

Use with caution if creatinine clearance less than 25 mL/minute. 

Dose adjustments-Consider slower dose titration if creatinine clearance less than 25 mL/minute (consult

product literature).

MONITORING REQUIREMENTS

Monitor liver function monthly for first 4 months for daily doses of 12 mg or higher, and in those who develop unexplained nausea, anorexia or fatigue.
