Product Composition
Contains aciclovir 5% w/w as the active antiviral ingredient. Other ingredients typically include glyceryl monostearate, dimeticone, cetyl alcohol, liquid paraffin, white soft paraffin, propylene glycol, and purified water.

Aciclovir works by stopping the herpes simplex virus from multiplying, helping the cold sore heal faster and reducing symptoms.

Uses / Indications
Used for the treatment of cold sores on the lips and around the mouth, especially:

• Tingling stage (early sign of outbreak)
• Active blisters or sores
• Pain, burning, or itching from herpes simplex virus

It helps to:

• Reduce severity of outbreaks
• Speed up healing time
• Soothe discomfort
• Limit virus spread at the affected area

Direction of Use

• Apply a thin layer to the affected area as soon as tingling starts
• Use up to 5 times daily for about 5 days
• Continue up to 10 days if needed
• Wash hands before and after application

Side Effects
Usually mild, but may include:

• Temporary stinging or burning on application
• Dryness or flaking of skin
• Mild redness or irritation

Warnings / Interactions

• For external use only
• Avoid contact with eyes and inside the mouth
• Do not use on genital area
• Stop and consult a pharmacist/doctor if no improvement after 10 days
