Composition
Each soft gelatin capsule contains:
- Methylcobalamin – 1500 mcg (Vitamin B12)
- Alpha Lipoic Acid – 100 mg
- Benfotiamine – 37.5 mg (Vitamin B1 derivative)
- Folic Acid – 500 mcg
- Pyridoxine (Vitamin B6) – 1.5 mg
- Inositol – 100 mg
- Selenium – 30 mcg
- Calcium D-Pantothenate – 2.5 mg
- Vitamin E – 2.5 mg
This is a high-strength neurotropic (nerve support) antioxidant vitamin combination.
Use / Indication
Indus Neuropat Forte is used as a nerve health and neuropathy support supplement, especially for:
- Diabetic neuropathy (burning, tingling, numbness in hands/feet)
- Peripheral neuropathic pain and nerve weakness
- Vitamin B deficiency–related nerve symptoms
- Nerve regeneration support (myelin repair)
- Burning feet syndrome
- General nerve strengthening in chronic illness
It is a supportive treatment, not a painkiller and not a cure for nerve disease.
Direction of Use
- Usually: 1 capsule once daily (or as prescribed)
- Take after food
- Swallow whole with water
- Use consistently for weeks to months for benefit
- Do not stop suddenly if prescribed long-term without advice
Side Effects
Usually mild. Possible effects:
- Nausea or stomach upset
- Bloating
- Headache
- Mild skin rash (rare)
- Metallic taste (occasionally)
- Rare allergic reactions
Warning
- Do not exceed recommended dose (high vitamin intake risk)
- Use cautiously in:
- Kidney or liver disease (doctor supervision needed)
- Not a substitute for:
- Painkillers in severe neuropathic pain
- Diabetes control medications
- Stop and seek care if:
- Severe rash
- Breathing difficulty
- Persistent vomiting occurs
Interaction
May interact with:
- Levodopa (Parkinson’s drug) → vitamin B6 may reduce effect
- Other multivitamins → risk of vitamin excess
- Antidiabetic drugs → generally safe but monitor glucose (neuropathy often diabetic-related)
- Alcohol → may worsen nerve damage and reduce benefit
Caution
- Works gradually (nerve recovery takes time)
- Best effect when combined with:
- Good blood sugar control (if diabetic)
- Healthy diet and physiotherapy
- Not all nerve pain responds equally
- If symptoms worsen (weakness, severe burning, loss of sensation), medical review is needed
- Long-term use should be periodically reviewed by a clinician
