Composition

Ferrous gluconate: 50 mg provides iron required for haemoglobin and red blood cell formation.
Thiamine hydrochloride (Vitamin B1): 1 mg supports carbohydrate metabolism and nerve function.
Riboflavin (Vitamin B2): 1 mg supports energy production and cellular function.
Pyridoxine hydrochloride (Vitamin B6): 1.6 mg supports amino acid metabolism and haemoglobin synthesis.
Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12): 2.0 mcg supports red blood cell formation and energy production.
Nicotinamide (Vitamin B3): 12 mg supports cellular energy metabolism and nutritional balance.
Zinc: 1.4 mg supports immunity and tissue repair.
Honey: 50 mg acts as a nutritive base and improves taste.
Malt extract: 400 mg acts as an energy source and syrup base.


 

Use / Indication

It is used in iron deficiency anaemia.
It is used in vitamin B-complex deficiency states.
It is used to improve general weakness and fatigue due to poor nutrition.
It is used during recovery from illness, surgery, or prolonged illness.
It is used as a haematinic and nutritional tonic in children and adults.


 

Direction of Use

It is taken orally in a measured dose as prescribed by a healthcare provider.
It is usually taken after meals to reduce stomach irritation.
It should be shaken well before use before each dose.
It should be taken regularly for best correction of nutritional deficiencies.


 

Side Effects

It may cause nausea or mild stomach upset.
It may cause constipation or diarrhoea in some individuals.
It may cause dark stools due to iron content, which is harmless.
It may cause mild abdominal discomfort or cramps.
Rarely, it may cause allergic reactions such as rash or itching.


 

Warnings

Iron overdose can be toxic and potentially life-threatening, especially in children.
It should not be used in iron overload conditions such as haemochromatosis.

Interactions

Iron absorption is reduced by tea, coffee, milk, and antacids.

Calcium supplements may reduce iron absorption.


 

Cautions
