Composition
Alka 5 Syrup is a herbal urinary alkaliser. Each 5 ml typically contains:
- Yavakshar → urinary alkaliser (reduces urine acidity, relieves burning)
- Shwet Parpati → mineral-based compound with mild anti-inflammatory + diuretic action
- Gokshura (Tribulus terrestris) → diuretic, helps flush urine and support urinary tract
- Dhanyak (Coriandrum sativum / coriander) → soothing, mild antibacterial, diuretic
- Jeerak (Cuminum cyminum / cumin) → antispasmodic, helps relieve painful urination
It is a urinary alkaliser + mild diuretic + anti-inflammatory herbal mixture.
Uses / Indications
Alka 5 is used for:
- Burning sensation during urination
- Urinary tract infections (UTIs)
- Cystitis and urethral irritation
- Frequent or painful urination
- Kidney stone support (helps urine flow)
Main role: reduces urine acidity and soothes urinary tract irritation.
Direction of Use
- Usually 10–15 ml, 2–3 times daily (or as directed)
- Taken after food
- Shake well before use
- Short-term use unless prescribed
Side Effects
Generally mild, but may include:
- Stomach upset
- Nausea
- Loose stools (rare)
- Mild electrolyte imbalance if overused
Warnings / Precautions
- Avoid overuse or long-term unsupervised use
- Caution in:
- kidney disease
- sodium/potassium imbalance risk
- If burning urination persists → may need antibiotics (not just syrup)
- Drink plenty of water during use
Drug Interactions

Contraindications / Caution
Avoid if:
- Severe kidney disease

- Serious untreated urinary infection requiring antibiotics
