Use / Indication
- Daily nasal cleansing and hygiene
- Relief of blocked or stuffy nose
- Helps remove:

It is commonly used for:

Direction of Use
- Use 2–6 times daily or as needed
- Suitable for adults and children (generally 3+ years)
- Steps:
- Insert nozzle into nostril
- Spray while keeping head upright (not tilted back)
- Allow solution to drain out
- Blow nose gently
- Repeat in other nostril
Can be used long-term or daily.
Side Effects
- Generally no known side effects
- Very rarely:
- Mild nasal irritation
- Temporary sneezing
- Mild stinging if nose is very sensitive

Warning
- Do not puncture or expose pressurised can to heat
- Do not use if nozzle is damaged or contaminated
- Keep out of reach of children
- Avoid spraying into eyes
- Store below high temperatures (pressurised container safety)
Interaction
- No known drug interactions
- Safe to use with:
- Otrivin (xylometazoline) nasal drops
- Antihistamines
- Antibiotics
- Steroid nasal sprays (if prescribed)
It is often used together with medicated sprays as a cleansing step.
Caution
- Very safe for long-term use, but:
- It only cleans and moisturises—it does not treat infections directly
- If nasal blockage persists, underlying causes (allergy, sinusitis, polyps) should be evaluated
- Can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding
- Can be used after nasal surgery (as advised)
- Overuse is not harmful, but not always necessary if symptoms are absent
